Brilven grew up just outside of Shienar, on a small farm owned by his family. His friend, Rubious al'Alanth, lived on the neighboring farm, and they spent most of their free time running around in the nearby forest playing, although they were unallowed. Living in Shienar, there were always chances of a Trolloc raid, or even something worst. At times, Brilven and Rubious both found themselves deeper in trouble than they could possibly imagine. These times meant running and hiding. They meant learning how to use your surroundings as cover, and not tripping over roots in the ground. As we all know, a Trolloc can and will outrun a horse. Sometimes, when Brilven would come home covered in mud, his mother would tell him he could never play with Rubious again, but she wasn't mean-hearted enough to keep her only son from his only friend. That was their usual, everyday living.
It was now months before Brilven turned eighteen, his only friend had recently left to some place called "The Black Tower" after finding out about his ability to channel, and Brilven was still working on his family's farm. Brilven had just finished gathering wood for the winter season that was ahead, when he heard a loud scream. Dropping the bundle of wood, Brilven sprinted to his house. Rushing into the front room, he yelled for his parents, but there was no answer. Brilven rushed up the stairs to their room, and when he entered, he found a Fade standing over the bodies of his slaughtered parents. Brilven screamed, and rushed at the myrdraal, but it was too quick for him. Slamming into the wall, Brilven could taste the blood in his mouth, and an inner warmth. Rising dizzily to his feet, Brilven could sense a light over his shoulder, and could hear a song calling to him. Brilven reached out to it, and was flooded with a warmth that he couldn't describe. Lashing out, Brilven watched as the Fade started screaming, and grabbing his eyeless head. Then, Brilven fell unconscious.
It was days later before Brilven awoke. He jumped to his feet and looked around. He wasn't sure if any more of the eyeless might have come. Brilven spotted the corpse of the Fade on the floor. It had already stopped moving. Brilven went to his room, packed only a few pairs of clothing, and headed for the same place his friend did. To the Black Tower.
After four years of hard training, and enduring life-threatening missions, Brilven was raised to the rank of Asha'man. Along his path to better himself, he made friends with a few people. Na'cueran, a man he learned not too long ago, was a Darkfriend, but Brilven still trusted the man. Jason Frost, a man with a knack for music, and the ability to make great weaves with Water and Air, was one of the other few. Brilven was also taught about his Talents, and was trained how to use them. Brilven has the Major Talent of Healing, and the Minor Talent of Delving. Brilven's Strengths in the One Power are Earth, Spirit, Fire, Water, and Air.
