Lonaris

My mother named me Lonaris which means "Sky Wanderer." An odd name for an Aiel, who are mostly down to earth. My mother was absolutely beautiful and odd in her way, I suppose thats where I inherited my curiosity. I did not inherit her Beauty, but I've always been told I was lovely. I inherited my red hair & eyes from my father. Indeed my body seems to take after my father in most every detail: strong, hard & lean... built for the tasks of a warrior. Yet sometimes the Green eyes of my father flash violet when my mothers wandering ways manifest.

I was weaned on "tales" told by my mother as I drifted off to sleep. In sleep I dreamed of those heroic tales. So it came as no suprise when I choose the life of Far Dareis Mai. My father a Stone Dog has always been proud of my life path. When I returned from a hunt with a vivid scar running from my hairline to my cheek, I was given a blessing gift to celebrate my first real scar. My mother smiled, but I belive she wished my mind would have dreamed more of heoric love then heroic valor.

I grew up with Selinas my near-sister. As children we palyed with spears where others played with dolls. As the sept-cheifs daughter she has always stood higher then me, but I never minded. We each had our ways. She was showy, always applauded for her great feats, quick with a comeback, always getting the last laugh. I brought patience and cation to the mix. Where she would have missed something, my curiosity often found something vital. Together we reached balance.

When we were twelve my first brother, Neferis, always the trickster, dyed my hair black. Changing your apperance was considered vain, and not becoming in a maiden. I was just coming to the notice of the Maidens, and knew that this would bring scorn. I was mortified and wouldn't leave my room. Selinas found out and devised a plan, we left the sept at dawn. The next week we both returned with short black hair. Between us we held a bag. Inside was a rare poisinous black cazitte. We said in honor of our hunt we had dyed our hair black. We were allowed to start tarining with the Maidens after that. We both carry a lock of each others black hair braided with our own in remebrence of all our promises.

So when Selinas' father was called to Rhuidean to follow the Car'a'carn, we followed as Maidens. As Far' Dareis Mai we now hold the honor of the Ca'a'carn. I will be a spear for the Car'a'carn.
